This week in interior design we learned about mood boards, and created our own mood board. A mood board is also known as an inspiration board and is a great way to show your design ideas. A mood board can be used to show fabric swatches, paint chips, and furniture ideas. The main reason interior designers use mood boards is to show the homeowner what type of atmosphere the new decor will create. Mood boards must include textile, images, and text. The mood board that I created represents my personality because it was crazy and weird just like me. On the HGTV quiz that we took it told me that my style was sleek and streamlined which I don't think really describes me. The total cost of my room was $10,802.09.
